(since you already know all of this,i'll try to make it as quick and painless as possible. lol)
(now we get to see how good my memory is...the apprentice might have to correct the mentor.)
Part 1
Eaglefeather walked into the clearing beside the lake with Applepaw trailing him. "okay. there are many ways to hunt, and there are many preys to hunt. there is fish, vole, mouse, rabbit and many others...and there are diffrent ways to hunt them all.. there is one crouch that is basically the same for hunting any land creature. it is refered to as the 'hunter's crouch'" He squatted down and demonstrated as if there where an animal of prey hiding somewhere nearby. "alright now you do it and i will correct your mistakes." he stood and watched on.
Part2
" that crouch works for land animals.,but for fish...it is quite different...to hunt a fish, you would sit by the water, being sure to be still and making sure your shadow isn't touching the water, and wait for the fish to come to you so that you can swipe it out of the water." He walked to the lake and demonstrated this."why don't you try now?" He stepped back to watch.
part 3
"okay....now that we have fishing down, let's try mouse."
"mice can sense the vibrations in the ground. so when you put your paws down, they 'hear' you. so,when hunting a mouse, you must be sure to keep your paws light on the ground. you use the same crouch as before, but ,when you move, you barely touch your feet to the ground." he demonstrated and pounced on a leaf."now you try."
part 4
"rabbit is the same as mouse, but instead of watching your feet, you have to watch the noise you make. rabbit can hear you waaaay before they see you. so,the crouch is the same, and i would still keep my feet light on the forest floor, but you have to watch for twigs and leaves and things like that." he pounced on another leaf to demonstrate."think you can show me this one?" he sat back, yet again, to watch what applepaw would do.
part 5
"all of the birds are the same. if you can catch one on the ground, you have to be swift and sneaky. catching a bird is a pretty hard task...well,for me anyways. if you scent a bird on the ground, you must sneak forward in the same hunter's crouch. birds can hear pretty good and they can see really well. so you must blend with your surroundings and keep behind brush or bushes for as long as you can before you pounce." he demonstrated this on yet another poor leaf."think you can manage that?" he sat back again to watch.
part 6
"i know you have heard of training from other apprentices and heard of hunting techniques from warriors...so is there anything else you want to learn today?"
(in other words...have i forgotten anything?)
(oh...and i guess you can put" part 1 blah blah train train part 2 more training blah w(bleep)ver part 3" and so on. makes it faster.)
